MINUTES
CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 12:09pm.
Board Members Present: Tracy Gifford, Shannon Truesdell, Austin Brown, Hardy Hampton, Brandon Johnson
Board Members Absent: Ricky Thurman, Devan Hanson
City Staff Present: Sean Clemmons, Airport Manager; Jason King, City Manager
Others Attending: Todd Downs, Stephenville Aviation; Bill Smith, Stephenville Aviation; York Gill,
General Public; Hunter Meinzer, General Public
REGULAR AGENDA
1. Board Membership Changes
Brandon Johnson is the new Place 7 Airport Advisory Board Member
Brandon was appointed after the City council revised the Airport Advisory Board ordinance for eligibility.
It used to state: “At least four members of the Board must be residents of the city; those not residing in the
city must be residents of Erath County.”
It now states: “All board members shall be residents of Erath County.”
2. Approval of the Previous Meeting's Minutes

S. Truesdell made a motion to approve the January 30 meeting’s minutes, seconded by T. Gifford.
Motion passed unanimously
3. Runway Extension – Update
February 3, City Council awarded the Longley Driveway contract to Jay Mills Construction (JMC).
March 16, Public Works notified KSA that the city received all the necessary documents from JMC and is
ready to hold the pre-construction meeting.
March 16, the City sent TxDOT Aviation the request for reimbursement for the Airport Layout Plan (ALP)
project.
March 17, Christian Cox with TxDOT Aviation sent the ALP diagrams to J. King for a final signature from the
Airport Sponsor.
March 24, TxDOT Aviation informed the City the ALP has been approved.
March 25, Pre-Con meeting was held; construction to begin April 8, with substantial completion by July 7.
J. King shared the update that the start date will likely be moved to mid-April.
4. Fly-in Results
The weather turned against us.

We will try again June 6.
J. King shared that several people reached out to him expressing their disappointment that the event had to
be cancelled but understood why and asked if there would be a makeup day. He shared that trying again the
same day as Moo-La Fest would be a good idea so the crowd would come to the airport in the morning, then
the park in the afternoon.
J. King also shared that the Car show will be holding their 10-year anniversary at the courthouse that day
instead of the airport.
S. Clemmons shared that one family drove all the way from Alice for the event on March 6. Another person
called him earlier that week from Mission wanting to be a farmer’s market vendor at the upcoming event.
5. 2026 World Cup
AT&T stadium is one of the 16 venues for the world cup in North America.
The games will be held June 11–19.
