Operations
October 1, 2025 –October 31, 2025
•Operations members completed 645 hours of in-house and off-site
Fire/EMS Training.
•Topics included: Auto Extrication, and EMS Protocol Reviews. We
hosted outside instructors who taught three, two-day sessions of Basic
and Intermediate auto extrication to our members. This course included
approximately 4 hours of classroom followed by 12 hours of hands-on
training. We were fortunate to open this training up to all area outside
agencies and members from Morgan Mill VFD, Huckabay VFD, Selden
VFD, Erath County Fire Rescue, and Cisco FD attended.
•We currently have 1 vacancy in operations with a second pending. We plan
to fill these vacancies with our established hiring list from our last round of
hiring.
•Standby Events: SHS Football Games (1), TSU Football Games (2), TSU
EECU Center (6)
•PR or Pub Ed: October is Fire Prevention Month, and crews assisted the
Fire Marshalls office with numerous events and presentations throughout
the City in October.
•TIFMAS Deployments: 2 TIFMAS members deployed for 14 days assigned
to the Lubbock area for Initial Attack with the Texas Forest Service.
