CALL TO ORDER

The following were in attendance:
BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Alyce Whitworth, Tourism Manager, Darrell Brown, Director,
Terri Hardcastle , Kim Fornes, Belle Dowell, Milo Choate and Chelsea Veldhuizen, Kayleigh

REGULAR AGENDA
1) Approve minutes – 2/6/25 Meeting
The Tourism Advisory Board of March 31, 2025, was called to order at 4:35 p.m.
The minutes from February 6, 2025, were presented to the board. There were no
corrections or additions, and the minutes were approved as presented. Milo Choate

2) Review of Past Events
a. Wings, Wheels and Winders was held on March 1, 2025. There were 64
airplanes on display, 52 vendors, cars and co?ee. Food & drink provided. The
Tourism Board set up a table. There were approximately 700-800 visitors
present at this event at our airport.
b. An airport update, for February, was given. It appears most people come here
primarily for Hard 8 or TSU. We are missing an advertising opportunity if we
aren’t placing our business brochures out at the airport.
3) There is an event page being distributed to let people know what is happening
around town.

4) Update for Moola Fest. This event will take place from June 5-7, 2025. Once again,
there will be a carnival and vendors. Many of our popular events, such as mutton
busting, will return.
5) Make Music Day will be on June 21, 2025.
a. Local businesses will be encouraged to have music at their location. The
concept is to have a map with times, the venues and location. A good way to
showcase our local musicians and bands.
6) Yiftee, is a gift card to purchase and use at local businesses. This is a Main St.
concept.

7) As of March 24, 2025, Stepehnville was recognized as a Tourism Friendly Town by
the Governor’s o?ice.
There being no further topics of discussion to come before the board, the meeting was
adjourned at 5:15pm.
