The following were in attendance:
BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Alyce Whitworth, Tourism Manager, Darrell Brown, Director,
Terri Hardcastle , Kim Fornes, Belle Dowell, Milo Choate and Chelsea Veldhuizen.
BOARD MEMBERS ABSENT: Kayleigh Caamano
REGULAR AGENDA
1) The Tourism Advisory Board of February 6, 2025 was called to order at 5:30 p.m.
The minutes of October 21, 2024 were presented to the board. There were no
corrections or additions, and the minutes were approved as presented. Milo Choate

1) Growth:

Data records, from 10/21 to Jan 21, indicate 175.2 million dollars brought in from
tourism.
Christmasville, 11/30/24 brought in 2.4 million.
2) Airport manager
Takes info on where people are from. Hard 8 is a popular dining spot. Chelsea
Veldhuzen suggests looking into airport runway expansion.
3) Wings, Wheels & Wonders
Will be on 3/01/25 from 9:00a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Car show, art etc. Free breakfast.
Farmers Market.
4) Texas Monthly
Update on meeting with Texas Monthly on AI as tool. Noted that Texas monthly
representative came to Stephenville. We will be in spring, march issue. We are
advertising with Texas Monthly, social media and print.
Short discussion followed in Digital vs hard copy.
5) Discussed Continuing Education
Discussion on continued education and hospitality training. Covering topics such as
what makes Stephenville unique, storytelling. We have had 900 visitor guides
distributed.
6) Website update
Visit Stephenville, About is the tab.
Includes: Main Street, music friendly, film friendly, Airport. The visitor’s guide has
led to testimonials on the website. More information is needed on Air B&B’s and
short-term rentals with contact info, locations and images.

7) 2025 Calendar
Wings, Wheels & Wonders
Moo-la Fest
Concerts in the Park
Also included on a “Make Music Day” which began in France. Suggestion for 6/21/25
for live music all over town.
8) Destination Certification
On 12/13/24 Stephenville received their Tourism Friendly Certification
There being no further topics of discussion to come before the board, the meeting was
adjourned at 6:30pm.

The Tourism Advisory Board of February 5, 2025, was called to order at 4:00 p.m.
The minutes from October 21, 2024 were presented to the board. There were no
corrections or additions, and the minutes were approved as presented. Milo Choate

There being no further topics of discussion to come before the board, the meeting was
adjourned at 5:00pm.
