Regular Meeting

Minutes - Monday, September 19, 2025, 4:00 PM
Attendees: Alyee Whitworth (Tourism Manager), Bob Doty, Caitlin Moyer, Jerry Norris
Absent: Angie Ayers, Darla Doty, Vanessa Halford, Darrell Brown
1.Approval of Minutes
Quorum was not met, will review minutes at next meeting.
2. Western Swing Festival Update
Western Swing Fest went well with lots of out-of-town guests as well as returning
crowds. Met goal of having more young people attending and partaking. City plans to
review hotel data to see how many visitors the weekend brought in. Next year’s date for
the festival is not set yet – will have to review the calendar to make sure there is no
conflicting holidays.
3. Cowboy Walk of Fame Discussion
Alyee is working on an online nomination form. The next steps are to approach the
Chamber of Commerce to access the money/bank account from the prior committee and
then go before council to start taking nominations. There is a list of current Walk of Fame
names that can be distributed and would be nice to view before nominations.
4. Upcoming Events
Discussed upcoming events in Stephenville. September is a busy month with various
st
Rodeo events occurring. 1 Annual Ranch Rodeo is September 19 & 20. PRCA Cowboy
Capital Pro Rodeo is September 26-28.
