April 2025 Activity Report
Operations
April 1, 2025 – April 30, 2025
Operations members completed 1075 hours of in-house and off-site Fire/EMS
Training. Topics included: Interior water mapping, Hose lays/deployment,
Ventilation (Saws/Roof Ops), Wildland (Ignition Ops), Swift water rescue,
Technical rescue training (stabilization, lifting, struts, airbags, and cribbing),
Ag Rescue/Farm Equipment Safety, Pediatric EMS Certification renewal
(PEPP), EMS Protocol Reviews, and Wildland Team members completed the
annual required Pack Test (3 mile walk, in 45 minutes, with a 50lb pack).
5 members who are enrolled in Paramedic School at TSTC Brownwood
completed their EMT-Advanced portion of the course and will begin the
Paramedic portion of the school next semester.
No standby events.
TIFMAS Deployments: There have been no TIFMAS Deployments. With the
widespread rainfall throughout the state, we expect an increase in the
wildland fuel load as we move into a normal hot and dry summer. This will
likely keep the wildland teams busy throughout the peak summer months
before fall rains are received.

• Started to clean up the mess MH civil left behind in the city park after sewer
project.
• Sewer project on the north side of the park is nearing completion, will start
cleaning that up as soon as they flnish across Belknap.
• Started the clean up process along the trail behind MH civil.
• Started the annual trail light maintenance. (Changing the bulbs and converting to
LED. Checking for any damages. Ensuring all lights are working properly.
• Started the pedastool plug project on the south side of the berm for events.
• Completed the mapping and marking at MT Olive. Waiting on the shipping and
completion of the Monument stones for unmarked graves.
• Completed light replacement and conversion of the park restroom light project.
